Some of the top programs in the Garden State converged at the Rothman Orthopaedics Sports Complex in Toms River on Saturday for this year’s Group 4 indoor relay championships.
When the final results were tallied, it was North Brunswick on the boys side and South Brunswick on the girls side that emerged as Group 4 champions.

Boys
North Brunswick claimed the boys Group 4 title with a strong team effort, finishing with 39 points to outdistance South Brunswick (32) and Williamstown (26). The championship marked the program’s second consecutive title and second overall.
The Raiders were anchored by a dominant performance from the shuttle hurdles relay team of Michael Perry, Elvin Marte Feliz, Jamell Wilmote and Schwann Grimes III, which won the 4x55 in 30.59 — the third-fastest time in the state this season. Grimes also played a key role in the 4x400 relay, teaming with Feliz, Wilmote and Devin Hackett to capture another victory in 3:30.66.
North Brunswick added valuable points in the high jump, where Tyler O’Garro won with a clearance of 6-8 while Aniyh Hall placed second after clearing 6-6. Both athletes reached their winning marks on their second attempts.
