This past Saturday against Colonia, Niyell McCargo cemented herself into another piece of NBTHS history as she broke the Girls record for most points all-time, previously held by Jazmine Walker set back in 2012. It’s a milestone made more impressive by the fact that the 2019-20 season was impacted by COVID-19, and the 2020-21 season was essentially a half-season. She said, “It just feels like another day; there’s some pressure off my shoulders but we still gotta put in work for the season.”

At the time of writing, she sits at 1,273 career points in 67 career games, equaling exactly 19 points per game. She and the Raiders face off against South River on Thursday.
