CONGRATULATIONS KAYA WALDRON!

The NJSIAA-sponsored National Association of Girls and Women in Sports Day celebrates the achievements and leadership abilities of many outstanding female athletes throughout the state. Recipients of this award are identified by the high school coach(es) and by the athletic department based on traits and characteristics reflective of a high school athlete: positivity, dedication, commitment, perseverance, and a willingness to excel.

The NJSIAA is pleased to partner with Rutgers University in celebrating the 2026 National Girls & Women in Sports Day. The celebratory event will be hosted on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Jersey Mike's Arena - Rutgers women's basketball hosts Minnesota at 12:00pm (noon).

NJSIAA member schools are invited to nominate ONE female senior student-athlete to attend the event - nominees will receive up to 3 tickets for free admission to the game and will be recognized during halftime. The NJSIAA will also provide a certificate and small gift to each attendee.
